Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into pieces
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp water
Sauce
  • 0.5 cup honey
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds toasted
  • 2 green onions sliced

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Large skillet or pot
  • Wire rack
  • Saucepan

Method
 

  1. Coat chicken in egg and flour mixture.
  2. Fry chicken until golden and crispy.
  3. Simmer sauce ingredients until thickened.
  4. Toss chicken with sauce and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

For extra crispiness, double fry the chicken and toss in sauce just before serving.
