Ingredients
  

Brownie Batter
  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1.25 cups granulated sugar
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar packed
  • 3 eggs large
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 0.75 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 cup chocolate chips optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk melted butter with granulated and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Fold in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips if using and spread batter evenly in pan.
  6. Bake 22–28 minutes until center is set but slightly soft.
  7. Cool completely before slicing and serving.

Notes

For extra fudgy brownies, slightly underbake and chill before slicing.
