Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 250 g penne pasta
White Sauce
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk warm
  • 0.25 cup heavy cream optional
  • 0.5 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp italian seasoning

Method
 

  1. Boil penne pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and reserve some pasta water.
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add flour and whisk for 1–2 minutes.
  3. Add garlic and cook briefly until fragrant.
  4. Slowly whisk in warm milk until smooth and thickened.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  6. Add cream and parmesan cheese, stirring until melted.
  7. Add cooked pasta and toss to coat. Adjust consistency with pasta water.

Notes

Serve immediately for best texture and flavor.
