Ingredients
  

Cookie Dough
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips or chunks

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla.
  4. Mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients just until combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips evenly.
  6. Shape tall dough mounds and place on baking sheets.
  7. Bake 12–15 minutes until edges are golden and centers are soft.
  8. Cool on wire racks before serving.

Notes

For extra thickness, chill dough 30 minutes before baking.
