Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla.
- Mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients just until combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips evenly.
- Shape tall dough mounds and place on baking sheets.
- Bake 12–15 minutes until edges are golden and centers are soft.
- Cool on wire racks before serving.
Notes
For extra thickness, chill dough 30 minutes before baking.
