  • 2 cups long-grain white rice
  • 400 g turkey breast or ground turkey
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3.5 cups chicken or turkey broth
  • 1 carrot diced
  • 0.5 cup green peas
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Cook chopped onion until translucent, then add garlic.
  3. Add turkey and cook until browned and fully cooked.
  4. Season with paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  5. Add diced carrot and cook briefly.
  6. Stir in rice and toast lightly.
  7. Pour in broth and bring to a boil.
  8. Cover and simmer 15–18 minutes.
  9. Add peas in the last 5 minutes.
  10. Rest, fluff, garnish with parsley, and serve.

Notes

Use broth for richer flavor and avoid overcooking turkey to maintain juiciness.
