- Line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment paper and set aside.
- Melt butter in a heavy saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir in sugar and cocoa powder until smooth.
- Slowly add evaporated milk, stirring constantly.
- Bring to a gentle simmer and cook until thick and glossy.
- Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
- Pour into prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Cool, refrigerate until set, then slice into squares.
Notes
