Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2.25 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.75 cup warm milk
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 egg large
Filling
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Method
 

  1. Activate yeast with warm milk and sugar until foamy.
  2. Mix in flour, salt, olive oil, and egg to form dough.
  3. Knead dough until smooth and elastic, then let rise until doubled.
  4. Prepare garlic herb butter and shred cheeses.
  5. Roll dough, spread filling, add cheese, and roll into a log.
  6. Slice, twist, and place on baking sheet.
  7. Bake at 350°F until golden and cooked through.
