Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups almond milk or milk of choice
  • 1.5 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • 1 oz dark chocolate 70% cacao, chopped
  • 1-2 tbsp raw honey or maple syrup
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Warm milk in a saucepan over medium-low heat without boiling.
  2. Whisk in cocoa powder, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Add chopped dark chocolate and whisk until fully melted.
  4. Stir in honey and vanilla extract, adjusting sweetness to taste.
  5. Simmer gently for 2–3 minutes, then remove from heat.
  6. Pour into mugs, garnish if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

Add coconut whipped cream or cacao nibs for garnish. Do not boil to preserve nutrients.
