Method
- Rinse rice under cold water and drain well.
- Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat and toast rice until lightly golden.
- Add onion and cook until softened, then stir in garlic.
- Pour in tomato sauce, broth, cumin, and salt. Stir well.
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer until liquid is absorbed.
- Remove from heat, let rest, fluff with fork, and serve.
Notes
Do not lift the lid while cooking for best texture.
