- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Toast chopped pecans in a dry skillet until fragrant. Set aside to cool.
- Whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet mixture until combined.
- Fold in toasted pecans gently.
- Scoop dough onto baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
- Bake 11–13 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Cool on wire rack.
