Brownie Batter
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 egg large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.25 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.33 cup chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a small baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add egg and vanilla extract, whisking until glossy.
  4. Fold in cocoa powder, flour, and salt until just combined.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips and spread batter evenly in pan.
  6. Bake for 16–20 minutes until edges are set and center is slightly soft.
  7. Cool completely before slicing for best texture.

Notes

For extra fudginess, slightly underbake and allow brownies to set as they cool.
