Ingredients
  

Chili Base
  • 2 lb beef chuck steak cubed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 large onion diced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 28 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 15 oz diced tomatoes
  • 30 oz beans drained and rinsed
  • 2 cups beef broth

Equipment

  • Slow cooker
  • Large skillet
  • Cutting board
  • Knife

Method
 

  1. Season and sear steak cubes in olive oil until browned.
  2. Transfer steak to slow cooker.
  3. Sauté onion, garlic, and tomato paste; deglaze pan.
  4. Add all ingredients to slow cooker and stir.
  5. Cook on LOW for 7–8 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours.
  6. Adjust seasoning and serve hot.
