- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Sear chicken in a hot skillet with olive oil for 2–3 minutes per side.
- Transfer chicken to baking dish.
- Mix ricotta, Parmesan, garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Spread ricotta mixture evenly over chicken.
- Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes until chicken is cooked through.
- Broil for 2–3 minutes for a golden top if desired.

Use whole-milk ricotta for best texture and flavor.
