Method
- Line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper and lightly grease.
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter. Stir constantly until melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt.
- Fold in optional mix-ins if desired.
- Pour mixture into prepared pan, smooth top, drizzle chocolate/caramel if desired, sprinkle sea salt.
- Chill in refrigerator for 1–2 hours or freeze 30–45 minutes until firm.
- Lift fudge from pan using parchment overhang, cut into squares, serve.
Notes
Fudge keeps in airtight container up to 2 weeks. Can customize with nuts, marshmallows, or peppermint for holidays.
