Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 12 oz spaghetti or linguine
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 cups water or vegetable broth
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 0.25 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 0.5 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped

Method
 

  1. Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30–60 seconds.
  3. Add dry pasta, water or broth, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook, stirring often.
  5. Cook until pasta is al dente and liquid reduces into a sauce.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in parmesan until creamy.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

Adjust seasoning at the end and serve immediately for best texture.
