Ingredients
  

Muffin Batter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon optional
  • 3 ripe bananas mashed
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup plain yogurt
Swirl
  • 0.75 cup Nutella slightly warmed if needed

  • Muffin tin
  • Wire rack
  • Hand mixer or whisk

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In a separate bowl, mash bananas and mix with melted butter and sugars.
  4. Add eggs, vanilla, and yogurt. Mix until smooth.
  5. Fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients gently until just combined.
  6. Fill muffin cups 3/4 full with batter.
  7. Add a spoonful of Nutella on top and swirl with a toothpick.
  8. Bake for 18-22 minutes. Cool on wire rack before serving.

Notes

Use overripe bananas for best flavor. Slightly warm Nutella for easier swirling.
