Ingredients
  

Brownie Base
  • 2 cups raw almonds
  • 1.5 cups Medjool dates pitted
  • 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup optional
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.25 tsp sea salt

Method
 

  1. Pulse almonds in a food processor until finely ground.
  2. Add dates and blend until sticky.
  3. Add cocoa powder, maple syrup, coconut oil, vanilla, and salt. Blend into thick dough.
  4. Press mixture firmly into lined 8x8-inch pan.
  5. Refrigerate 30 minutes until firm, then slice and serve.

Notes

Store refrigerated for best texture. Can be frozen for longer storage.
