Ingredients
  

Noodles
  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper

Method
 

  1. Cook egg noodles in salted water until tender. Drain and set aside.
  2. Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat.
  3. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Slowly add milk and broth while whisking until smooth.
  5. Season with salt and pepper and cook until sauce thickens.
  6. Add noodles and stir to coat evenly.
  7. Cook 2–3 minutes more and serve warm.

Notes

Add cooked chicken or vegetables for a complete meal.
