Ingredients
  

Chicken Shawarma
  • 2 large chicken breasts thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp turmeric
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp cayenne pepper optional
  • salt and pepper to taste
Fries
  • 4 large russet potatoes cut into fries
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • salt to taste
Toppings
  • 1 cup shredded cheese mozzarella or cheddar
  • 0.5 cup diced tomatoes
  • 0.5 cup diced cucumber
  • 0.25 cup chopped parsley
  • 2-3 tbsp pickled turnips or pickles chopped
Garlic Sauce
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 2-3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • salt to taste

Method
 

  1. Combine chicken with olive oil, spices, salt, and pepper. Marinate at least 15 minutes.
  2. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Toss fries with olive oil and salt, bake 25–30 minutes until golden.
  3. Cook marinated chicken in a skillet over medium-high heat 5–7 minutes until fully cooked.
  4. Mix mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, and salt for garlic sauce.
  5. Arrange fries on a platter, sprinkle cheese, add cooked chicken.
  6. Top with diced tomatoes, cucumber, parsley, and pickles.
  7. Drizzle garlic sauce generously over fries. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra crispy fries, soak cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes before baking.
