Ingredients
  

Brownie Batter
  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs large
  • 2 tbsp lemon zest fresh
  • 0.25 cup lemon juice fresh
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 tsp salt
Lemon Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp lemon juice fresh

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk melted butter and sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
  4. Stir in lemon zest, lemon juice, and vanilla.
  5. Fold in flour and salt just until combined.
  6. Pour batter into pan and smooth top.
  7. Bake 22–26 minutes until set with moist crumbs.
  8. Cool completely before glazing.
  9. Mix powdered sugar with lemon juice and spread over brownies.

Notes

Use fresh lemons for best flavor. Do not overbake.
