Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add egg, egg yolk, vanilla, and cream. Mix well.
- Combine dry and wet ingredients until just mixed.
- Scoop dough onto baking sheet and bake 10–12 minutes.
- Cool completely before adding sugar topping.
- Sprinkle sugar and torch until caramelized. Let harden before serving.
Notes
Torch sugar just before serving for best texture.
