  • 2.25 tsp yeast
  • 0.75 cup warm milk
  • 0.5 cup honey
  • 2 eggs large
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
Filling
  • 0.25 cup butter softened
  • 0.33 cup honey
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Method
 

  1. Prepare and knead the dough until smooth and elastic.
  2. Allow dough to rise until doubled in size.
  3. Roll out dough and spread honey filling evenly.
  4. Roll, slice, twist, and place in loaf pan.
  5. Bake until golden and cooked through.
  6. Cool completely before frosting.

Let babka cool fully before frosting for best texture.
