Ingredients
  

Stroganoff
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms sliced
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 0.75 cup sour cream
  • 8 oz egg noodles cooked

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Wooden spoon
  • Pot for pasta

Method
 

  1. Cook egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Brown ground beef in a skillet with oil over medium heat.
  3. Add onion, garlic, and mushrooms. Cook until softened.
  4. Sprinkle in flour and stir for 1 minute.
  5. Slowly add beef broth, stirring until thickened.
  6. Reduce heat and stir in sour cream until smooth.
  7. Add noodles, toss to coat, and serve hot.

Notes

Do not boil after adding sour cream to avoid curdling.
