- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
- Mix strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, vanilla, and salt. Spread into baking dish.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- Stir in melted butter and milk until just combined.
- Spoon topping evenly over strawberries.
- Bake 40–45 minutes until golden and bubbling.
- Cool slightly before serving.
