Ingredients
  

Strawberry Filling
  • 5 cups fresh strawberries hulled and sliced
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice fresh
Cobbler Topping
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter cold and cubed
  • 0.75 cup milk

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and butter a baking dish.
  2. Mix strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice in a bowl.
  3. Transfer strawberry mixture to baking dish.
  4. Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in another bowl.
  5. Cut butter into dry ingredients until crumbly.
  6. Stir in milk just until combined.
  7. Drop topping over strawberries.
  8. Bake 40–45 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Notes

Best served warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
