- Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger in a small saucepan.
- Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
- Whisk cornstarch with water in a small bowl until smooth.
- Slowly whisk cornstarch mixture into the simmering sauce.
- Cook 2–3 minutes until thick and glossy.
- Remove from heat and cool slightly before using.
Notes
Adjust sweetness or thickness to taste. Sauce thickens as it cools.
