Ingredients
  

Teriyaki Sauce
  • 0.5 cup soy sauce
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger grated
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water

Method
 

  1. Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger in a small saucepan.
  2. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  3. Whisk cornstarch with water in a small bowl until smooth.
  4. Slowly whisk cornstarch mixture into the simmering sauce.
  5. Cook 2–3 minutes until thick and glossy.
  6. Remove from heat and cool slightly before using.

Notes

Adjust sweetness or thickness to taste. Sauce thickens as it cools.
