Brownie Batter
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.75 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.75 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup chocolate chips optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until glossy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Fold in cocoa powder, flour, and salt until just combined.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips if using.
  6. Spread batter evenly into prepared pan.
  7. Bake 22–28 minutes until edges are set and center is slightly soft.
  8. Cool completely before slicing and serving.

Notes

For fudgier brownies, slightly underbake and allow to set while cooling.
