Method
- Warm water or broth in a saucepan over medium heat without boiling.
- Add wakame and allow to rehydrate for 2–3 minutes.
- Stir in tofu, ginger, and garlic. Simmer gently.
- Dissolve miso paste in a small bowl with hot broth.
- Reduce heat and stir miso mixture into soup.
- Add tamari if using, garnish with green onions, and serve warm.
Notes
Do not boil after adding miso to preserve flavor and probiotics.
