Filling
  • 2 cups cooked ham diced
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • 1 cup carrots diced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp thyme
Crust
  • 1 pie crust store-bought or homemade

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cook onion and carrots in butter until softened.
  3. Stir in flour and cook briefly.
  4. Whisk in broth and milk until thickened.
  5. Add ham and peas, then transfer to pie dish.
  6. Top with crust, vent, and bake until golden.
