Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice uncooked
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream or milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

  • Crock Pot / Slow Cooker

Method
 

  1. Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the crock pot.
  2. Add diced onion, garlic, rice, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour chicken broth over ingredients and add butter.
  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours.
  5. Remove chicken, shred, and return to the crock pot.
  6. Stir in cream, cook 10–15 minutes, then serve.

Notes

For best texture, avoid opening the lid while cooking.
