Ingredients
  

Chicken Base
  • 2 lbs boneless chicken
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup carrots diced
  • 1 cup celery chopped
  • 1 onion diced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
Dumplings
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 cup milk

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Baking sheet
  • Wire rack
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Place chicken, vegetables, seasoning, and broth into crock pot.
  2. Cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
  3. Shred chicken and return to crock pot.
  4. Mix dumpling ingredients until soft dough forms.
  5. Drop dumplings on top and cook an additional 30–45 minutes.

Notes

Do not stir after adding dumplings for best texture.
