Golden crispy beef strips tossed in a sticky, sweet and spicy chilli sauce, better than takeout.

Ingredients
  

Beef
  • 400 g beef sirloin thinly sliced
  • 0.5 cup cornflour
Sauce
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 4 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

Equipment

  • Wok or deep pan
  • Slotted spoon
  • Mixing bowls
  • Wire rack

Method
 

  1. Coat sliced beef in cornflour and shake off excess.
  2. Deep fry beef in hot oil until crispy and golden.
  3. Stir-fry garlic, ginger, and chillies briefly.
  4. Add sauce ingredients and simmer until glossy.
  5. Toss beef in sauce and serve immediately.

Notes

Serve immediately for best texture.
