- Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente and reserve some pasta water.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet and sauté onion until soft.
- Add garlic and cook briefly until fragrant.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes and tomato paste, simmering several minutes.
- Season with salt, pepper, oregano, basil, and chili flakes.
- Lower heat and add cream, stirring until smooth.
- Mix in parmesan cheese until melted.
- Toss cooked pasta with sauce, adding pasta water if needed.
- Serve garnished with fresh basil and extra parmesan.

Use freshly grated parmesan for best melting and flavor.
