Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb penne pasta
  • 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Equipment

  • Instant Pot
  • Wooden spoon

Method
 

  1. Set Instant Pot to sauté and heat olive oil and butter.
  2. Cook onion until soft, then add garlic and sauté briefly.
  3. Add pasta, broth, and seasonings. Stir gently.
  4. Pressure cook on high for 5 minutes, then quick release.
  5. Stir in cream and Parmesan until sauce thickens.

Notes

Add cooked chicken or vegetables for variation.
