Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.75 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Equipment

  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Cook penne pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and reserve pasta water.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Lower heat and add cream, simmering gently.
  4. Stir in Parmesan cheese until smooth.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Add pasta to sauce, tossing to coat evenly.

Notes

Add pasta water as needed to adjust sauce consistency.
