  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups whole milk warm
  • 5 oz dried chipped beef chopped
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 4 slices bread toasted

Method
 

  1. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Whisk in flour and cook 1 minute until smooth.
  3. Slowly whisk in warm milk and cook until thickened.
  4. Stir in chipped beef and black pepper.
  5. Simmer briefly and serve over toast.

Notes

Rinse beef lightly if very salty. Add milk to adjust thickness.
