Ingredients
  

  • 1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
  • 1.5 cups Riesling wine dry
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz mushrooms sliced

Method
 

  1. Brown seasoned chicken in butter and oil until golden.
  2. Sauté shallots, garlic, mushrooms, and onions.
  3. Deglaze with Riesling and add stock and herbs.
  4. Simmer chicken until tender, then finish with cream.

Notes

Use dry Riesling for best balance. Serve with bread or potatoes.
