Ingredients
  

Chocolate Base
  • 250 g dark chocolate chopped
  • 100 g unsalted butter softened
  • 100 g granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder unsweetened
  • 150 g digestive biscuits roughly chopped
  • 50 g mixed nuts optional
  • 2 tbsp milk adjust for consistency
  • 1 tbsp rum or coffee liqueur optional
  • powdered sugar for dusting

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls

Method
 

  1. Melt chocolate and butter over simmering water until smooth.
  2. Stir in sugar and cocoa powder until fully combined.
  3. Fold in chopped biscuits and nuts.
  4. Add milk gradually until thick but pliable. Stir in optional rum.
  5. Shape mixture into a log on parchment paper. Wrap tightly and twist ends.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or freeze 1 hour for easier slicing.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar, slice, and serve.

Notes

Store airtight for up to 2 weeks. Use a warm knife for clean slices.
