Ingredients
  

Chicken Shawarma
  • 2 lbs chicken thighs boneless, skinless
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp plain yogurt
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp salt
Garlic Sauce
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 cloves garlic grated
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Skillet or Grill Pan
  • Knife
  • Cutting board

Method
 

  1. Mix all marinade ingredients and coat chicken thoroughly.
  2. Marinate chicken for at least 1 hour or overnight.
  3. Heat skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Cook chicken 5–7 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
  5. Rest chicken, then slice thinly.
  6. Whisk all garlic sauce ingredients until smooth.
  7. Serve chicken with garlic sauce.

Notes

Marinating overnight gives the best flavor.
