Ingredients
  

Tea Base
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 Earl Grey tea bags
Cherry Syrup
  • 1 cup cherries pitted
  • 3 tbsp sugar or honey
  • 1 cup milk
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract optional

Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Fine-mesh strainer
  • Tea kettle
  • Glass or mug

Method
 

  1. Simmer cherries and sugar in a saucepan until syrupy, about 5–7 minutes.
  2. Strain syrup if desired and set aside.
  3. Boil water and steep Earl Grey tea for 4–5 minutes.
  4. Stir cherry syrup into tea.
  5. Add milk and vanilla extract.
  6. Serve hot or pour over ice for iced version.

Notes

Adjust sweetness to taste. Store cherry syrup up to 5 days refrigerated.
