- Warm cream, milk, butter, garlic, salt, and pepper in a saucepan.
- Pour cream mixture over potatoes and cover with foil.
- Bake 45 minutes, then add cheese and bake uncovered 40 minutes.
- Rest 10 minutes before serving.
