Cheesy and Creamy Broccoli Pasta

Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 12 oz pasta penne or fusilli
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
Sauce
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1.5 cups cheddar cheese shredded
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese grated

Equipment

  • Large pot
  • Skillet
  • Colander
  • Wooden spoon

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente.
  2. Add broccoli during last 2–3 minutes of cooking. Drain and set aside.
  3. Melt butter in skillet and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  4. Add cream and milk, simmer gently.
  5. Stir in cheeses until smooth and creamy.
  6. Toss pasta and broccoli with sauce. Season and serve.

Notes

Add a splash of pasta water if sauce thickens too much.
