Ingredients
  

  • 14 oz smoked sausage sliced
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice uncooked
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.5 cup onion diced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning

  • Wooden spoon

Method
 

  1. Heat butter in a skillet and brown the sliced sausage. Remove and set aside.
  2. Add onion to the same skillet and cook until softened.
  3. Stir in garlic and Cajun seasoning until fragrant.
  4. Add rice and toast lightly for 1–2 minutes.
  5. Pour in broth and honey, stirring to combine.
  6. Return sausage to skillet, cover, and simmer until rice is tender.
  7. Fluff rice, adjust seasoning, and serve warm.

Notes

Adjust Cajun seasoning to control spice level.
