Ingredients
  

Beef and Cheese Burritos
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup salsa or tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp onion powder
  • 0.25 tsp oregano
  • 6 large flour tortillas

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add diced onion and cook until softened. Stir in garlic.
  3. Season with chili powder, paprika, cumin, black pepper, salt, onion powder, and oregano.
  4. Add salsa or tomato sauce and simmer for 3–4 minutes.
  5. Warm tortillas until soft and pliable.
  6. Fill each tortilla with beef mixture and shredded cheese.
  7. Roll tightly into burritos.
  8. Optional: pan-sear for a crispy exterior.

Notes

For extra creamy burritos, add a spoonful of cream cheese to the beef mixture before assembling.
