- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease or line a loaf pan.
- In a bowl, mix self-rising flour and sugar.
- Pour in beer and stir gently until just combined.
- Transfer batter to loaf pan and smooth the top.

- Cool slightly before slicing and serving.
